The XP! Academy is our online subscription where learners can independently work through Ignite XP! Ascend XP! and achieve customised NCFE accredited qualifications in each theme award. No live sessions needed! Our video-led, interactive, and gamified content is designed to build confidence and real-world employability skills step by step. But don’t worry… our Ignition mentors will be on hand to help you navigate through any sticky spots.
What is The XP! Academy?
XP! Academy is a self-paced learning experience hosted on our dedicated online learning platform. Learners log in anytime and follow short, guided, interactive lessons that mix:
Bite-sized videos
XP! points and badges to celebrate progress
Interactive activities
Goal setting and reflection prompts (to help learning stick)
Missions and challenges
The XP! academy is perfect for families and young people who want flexibility, a calmer pace, or learning that fits around school or training, clubs, busy schedules and travel.

A space-themed practical, gamified, badge-based journey focussed on employability and life skills. Learners complete themed missions created by businesses, organisations and experts; earn XP! and build a positive record of growth that they can talk about with confidence. Although self-paced, the interactive community space will allow collaboration and connection as they build their badge collection.
Bolt on NCFE customised accredited courses.
When theme awards are earned, learners will have the opportunity to expand their learning and achievement by completion of NCFE customised accredited courses. Courses range from entry level 1 to level 3.

A learning journey fuelled by real-world challenges help learners to develop their skills and progress through the programme with momentum. Small short and clear lesson modules and missions ensure learners are not overwhelmed and can make progress in small bursts even on busy days. The community space allows discussion between Ascend XP! members, completion of team-based missions, and network growth.
Bolt on – NCFE customised accredited courses
When learners achieve theme awards, they will have the opportunity to boost their learning and accomplishments by achievement of NCFE customised accredited courses. Courses range from entry level 1 to level 3.

Ignite XP! Clubs are perfect for children who thrive in small groups; benefit from interactive guidance from mentors; like weekly structure and routine; and are at a beginner to intermediate level.

Our bite-sized lessons are predictably structured to allow learners to anticipate and understand their learning journey but with flexible pick and mix options to allow for individual interests to be pursued.

Is the XP! Academy live?
How much time does it take?
Learners can go at their own pace. Many learners and families like to do a little at a time whilst some choose to work on a weekly goal such as completion of a badge each week and a theme award each month. You can pause and return any time meaning that you can work at times that are convenient to you. Each badge equates to approximately 5 hours of learning.
Do we need any special equipment?
You will need a device with internet access (for example a laptop, tablet, or desktop) and a quiet space to focus.
Can we switch between Ignite XP! and Ascend XP!
You are able to switch between the Ignite XP! and Ascend XP! programmes but will be required to start at the beginning of the new programme. No credits, achievements, or lessons will be transferable. You will be required to pay a one-off transfer fee of £19.99 which will include both administration and the cost of your new course handbook.
