Ignite XP! Clubs are fun, gamified sessions where children explore future careers through games, challenges and badge missions. They’ll grow in confidence, lean real-life skills, start building a CV they can be proud of, in a calm, supportive space led by an expert tutor.
What is an XP! Club?
A club they’ll actually want to go to.
Every session feels like play and socialising but it’s secretly building the skills children need for school, life, and their future. Each month focusses on one of our twelve XP! themes which range from cyber, communication, and sustainability, to business and the economy. The broad spectrum of careers ensures that every child’s ambition can be guided. Children are guided through themed missions, earn XP! for effort, progress, and collect badges that celebrate their knowledge and skills. Clubs aim to support children to achieve one badge per week.

A friendly introduction you can join in from home or school as an after-school club. Perfect if your child wants to try it out first.
LOCAL CLUB TASTER
Come along in person and experience the games, talks, challenges, and badge-earning fun at one of our local Ignite XP! Clubs.
Ignite XP! Clubs are perfect for children who thrive in small groups; benefit from interactive guidance from mentors; like weekly structure and routine; and are at a beginner to intermediate level.
What’s Included
- Small groups (maximum 8 children/young people to one mentor). Intimate groups ensure that bespoke support is given to each child with the challenges adapted to meet their needs.
- Weekly live club sessions in person or online. Choose from a range of daytime and evening options to suit your schedule and needs.
- Certified mentors who create a calm, supportive environment, building a relationship with each child, providing ongoing support via text and video message between sessions.
- Text and video mentor messages delivered via email.
- Weekly featured challenges with rewards to maintain motivation, enhance community and collaboration, and ensure engagement between sessions.
- Monthly theme. Rolling programme that cycles through each theme offering a taste of all careers and skills on offer. Repeated modules each year allow children to progress to a higher level of attainment and move from beginner to intermediate to advanced skills.
- Seasonal challenges and parties. Participate in themed competitions, challenges, and showcases.
- Free taster session.

Whether online or in person, we invite those who are visiting for the first time to meet with the tutor 20 minutes before the club starts to get to know each other.

After your taster session we will give you a call to discuss how your child did. We will then get you booked into the regular available club of your choice starting the following week.
Your commitment
Monthly rolling membership. No long-term contract. Cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice. If you miss an online session, you will still receive messages and video support from your mentor to allow you to catch up at your own pace whether it is a single session or an extended absence.
FAQ
How long are sessions?
Both online and face to face sessions are 90 minutes long with a 15-minute comfort break included. Sessions occur once a week. Within the break, children will continue to be supervised but we encourage them to stretch their legs, have refreshments, and importantly get to know the other children in their group. Taster sessions include an extra 20-minute induction so that your child can meet their mentor and/or buddy on a 1-to-1 or small group basis before regular members join.
Is Ignite XP! right if my child is shy or anxious?
Yes, we keep the environment supportive and low-pressure with encouragement and gentle participation. At their first session we team them up with a buddy to ensure they are supported to feel included and get to know other members of the group.
Can parents stay?
Yes, you may stay although this is not routinely encouraged. You will be asked to sit away from the activity to allow your child to independently develop their skills.
What happens if my child misses a club session?
No problem at all! Life happens, and there is nothing to worry about. When your child misses an Ignite XP! club session, they will still receive support and messages via email and video. This means that they have the option to complete the same badge challenges as the rest of their group. However, as each week focusses on a new badge, they can simply join right back in at the next session and work on the new badge of the week. As the programme is rotational, they can simply pick the badge up in the next cycle. It doesn’t matter whether your child misses a single session, a few weeks, or there is an unexpected change in circumstances, your child can continue to work towards their awards at a pace that works for them. When they are ready to return, they’ll fit right back in without a worry.
Will my child be safe?
The safety of every child is of the highest importance to us. Every child has the right to feel safe and supported and it is our duty to create safe communities online and in person. All of our Ignition mentors have enhanced DBS checks and are overseen by an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist. All online communities are moderated by mentors. Each child must sign and adhere to our group charter to respect every member.
